Pressure is mounting on the National Transport Authority to finally deliver a direct bus between Blanchardstown and Dublin Airport.

Labour Councillor John Walsh has renewed calls for the long-awaited N8 BusConnects route, saying more than 100,000 Dublin 15 residents have waited long enough for a direct airport connection.

The route would link Blanchardstown, Dublin Airport and Clongriffin, with the latest government update suggesting it could begin operating later this year or in early 2027.

EZ Living Interiors has officially opened its brand-new showroom in Westend Retail Park, marking the company's 25th store nationwide.

The new store was officially opened by TV presenter Baz Ashmawy, with a family fun day, competitions and special opening offers welcoming shoppers through the doors.

Part of the planned Blanchardstown to City Centre BusConnects corridor is set to be reconsidered following a High Court ruling.

The case centred on two proposed bus gates near a petrol station on Old Cabra Road, with the judge ruling planners hadn't properly assessed the impact on the business.

The National Transport Authority says it's still committed to delivering the Blanchardstown corridor, although the court decision could slow progress while the planning process is revisited.

Plans for a huge new town between Castleknock, Blanchardstown, Finglas and the M50 continue to divide opinion.

The proposed Dunsink City Quarter could deliver up to 18,500 homes, creating a new community of more than 46,000 people.

While many residents support building much-needed housing, local campaigners argue the surrounding infrastructure—including schools, GP services and transport—isn't ready for development on such a scale.

Fingal County Council says public consultation has now concluded and councillors will consider the proposal in the coming months.
