Morning {{first name | Blanch}}, happy Friday! ☀️

Welcome to Edition 19 of the Blanch Bulletin.

Another busy week across Dublin 15 with new local developments, community discussions, summer events announced and some big conversations happening around transport and infrastructure locally.

As always, thanks so much for reading and supporting the newsletter each week — it genuinely means a lot.

Let’s get into it 👇

Community Safety 🚲

Garda Injured Following E-Bike Incident in Hartstown Park 🚨

A Garda received minor injuries after being struck by an e-bike during a patrol in Hartstown Park last weekend.

According to Gardaí, officers were carrying out proactive patrols targeting the illegal use of scramblers and e-bikes in the area when they encountered a youth allegedly driving erratically.

The Garda was knocked to the ground during the incident and later treated in hospital.

The young boy involved was arrested at the scene before later being released without charge. A file is now being prepared for the Garda National Youth Diversion Bureau.

The incident has once again highlighted growing concerns locally around dangerous scrambler and e-bike activity in parks and public spaces.

The project transforms ordinary traffic light control boxes into colourful public artworks across communities throughout Fingal, helping brighten up local streets and public spaces.

Successful applicants will receive materials and a small participation fee to complete their artwork during the summer months.

Key dates:

  • Applications Opened: May 4th

It’s a brilliant opportunity for local creativity to be showcased publicly across the community.

Street Feast events happen in estates, greens, parks and community centres across Ireland every year — all aimed at bringing neighbours together and strengthening local connections.

Thinking of organising something in your area? Registration is now open nationwide.

Infrastructure 🌉

Residents Raise Concerns Over Proposed N3 Bridge Plans 🚧

Concerns continue to grow locally regarding proposals linked to the N3 M50 to Clonee Bus Priority and Active Travel Scheme.

Using a big banner, residents in Littlepace have raised objections to plans involving a new pedestrian and cycle bridge over the N3, with concerns focused on the possible impact on green space within the estate.

The wider project aims to improve bus reliability, public transport connections and active travel infrastructure between the M50 and Clonee.

The public consultation process remains open until May 18th, with almost 100 submissions already made.

Women’s Shed Clonee will host a community meeting on Tuesday May 12th at 7:30pm in Castaheany Community Centre to discuss the potential local impact of the plans.

Summer Events ☀️

Flavours of Fingal 2026 Dates Officially Confirmed 🎡

One of Fingal’s biggest summer events is officially returning this July.

This year’s festival is being promoted as a “reimagined” version of the hugely popular event, with organisers promising an even stronger family-friendly atmosphere alongside farming displays, food experiences, live music and entertainment.

Organisers have also confirmed that dedicated event buses will not operate this year, with visitors encouraged to use public transport where possible.
